Welcome!

Nordic regional events are still being developed for 2008. A meeting in Malmö, and...? Help us develop more! Please also feel free to pass our branch information along to any Oxford people as yet unknown to us.

Best wishes to all for a fine year.
aloha!

Bruce Henry Lambert
Oxford University Society Nordic, Secretary

Thus far we've had an active few years in the Stockholm/Uppsala region, and some successful activities in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Reykjavík. We hope that upcoming activities will include events elsewhere, such as in Skåne, or in Estonia. There should be permanent Oxford Society branches in many of our region's cities; where that can't be accomplished, we can at least have circles of Oxford people who come together periodically. We will help spread such information. We actively seek those who can coordinate even single events in other Nordic locations, or even let us know of get-togethers that our members might join. We'll send email announcing such events. Please also let us know of any Oxford-related people who do not now receive our email.

There are many interesting things that we might do together. We need volunteers to share tasks and energies. We are spread over a wide geographic area, but with a few key people in various cities we can generate a strong regional loosely-coupled network of activities.

This website is one way to bring together some focus:

but possibly more important are activities.

If you potentially can coordinate an activity, however modest, it is easy to publicize details by email.

Please keep in contact with any ideas or initiatives!

Again, if you know of other Oxford-related people in the Nordic region who may be unknown to us, please forward details of our activities and website to them.
